Today, around 40% of us use our voice to search things online at least once a day. Google says that 27% of the world’s online population is using voice search on their smart phones. Gartner predicts that 30% of all browsing sessions now include some form of voice search.
In response to this growing trend, we have been working with Google Voice Assistant since 2019, to find out how we can make it easier for customers to order and interact with Nespresso. Now, as part of a pilot scheme, our consumers in the Netherlands will be able to benefit from some of the new features introduced to the Nespresso Voice Assistant on the Google Assistant ecosystem.
For instance, consumers in the Netherlands will be able to say, “Okay, Google, I want to order Nespresso Coffee” to receive a batch of our capsules, hands-free and screen-free. The voice activation function not only helps consumers order their coffee but also to make the right coffee choice by inspiring them to create different coffee recipes and give more insight on the origins of coffee.
