Nespresso, the worldwide pioneer in premium portioned coffee, today opened its first-ever boutique in New Zealand. It is located in the popular and lively city of Auckland.
This opening marks Nespresso entry into a new market. It reflects the Nespresso global expansion strategy in selected markets and urban environments worldwide.

Located in Auckland’s trend-setting Newmarket district, the latest Nespresso boutique is set in a landmark building. The layout heightens the consumers’ shopping experience by enabling them to engage easily with everything the boutique has to offer.
“For the first time, New Zealanders will discover the world of Nespresso with all their senses. From exploring the latest machines and accessories along the Collection Wall, to time efficient purchases of our Grand Cru coffees, this space has been solely designed to provide a unique and personalised customer experience,“ says Mr Chesneau.
Shaping coffee culture outside Europe
Globally, Nespresso achieved double-digit growth in the first six months of 2011. For the first time, the company generated more than 15% of its sales outside Europe – a two-fold growth within two years. That performance shows the growth potential for Nespresso as coffee lovers in countries such as New Zealand discover the company’s highest quality coffee combined with its personalised services.
The Auckland boutique is one of five that Nespresso Oceania opened in the last 12 months. Nespresso will expand its retail network beyond 250 boutiques globally by the end of 2011. Nespresso boutiques are currently present in over 150 cities and 40 countries.
